Jeremy Trager as Anatoly plays the Soviet Union contender in the world championship match, who becomes involved with Florence, played by Maggie Portman, as the American with Hungarian descent.




Maggie Portman plays the central character of Florence, the center of a love triangle at world championship chess tournaments between Freddie, played by Courtney Crouse and patterned after the American world champion Bobby Fisher, and Anatoly, the Russian.
