From the Artistic Director

Welcome to Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre’s 2012-2013 Season! This year we celebrate our 15th Anniversary as a company and our 10th Anniversary as the resident company of the historic No Exit Cafe here in the Heart of Rogers Park.

Through the years we have watched our community grow and prosper into what is now called the Glenwood Arts District sharing our “block” with Lifeline Theatre, Heartland Studio Theatre, Heartland Cafe, Red Line Tap and the Glenwood. Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre has proven to be a major force in this collective artistic endeavor.

Each season as Artistic Director I strive to choose musical productions that challenge our artistic team as well as you our beloved audiences re-imagining large scale musicals and great composers in our intimate setting. Last season proved to be one of our most successful to date with our 2012 Jeff Award-winning musical The Light in the Piazza and our “sleeper hits” Pump Boys and Dinettes and Time after Time: The Songs of Jule Styne.

As we face difficult economic times Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre continues to produce cost-effective productions while maintaining highly acclaimed artistic standards. This year for the first time we are offering a 2012-2013 Season Subscription: Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love and A Cole Porter Songbook as our headliners with an original Theo Ubique Christmas Cabaret: Joy to the World and a January Cabaret series featuring many of our past Theo Ubique alumni!

Please join us at this exciting time and spread the word that Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre is alive and well in Rogers Park.

Thank You,

Fred Anzevino
