From the Artistic Director

Our 2014-2015 Season is our most ambitious season to date. We’ve chosen some of the most challenging as well as entertaining musical material to present in the close confines of the No Exit Cafe.

Starting with “A Kurt Weill Cabaret,” we return back to our Cabaret Theatre “roots,” celebrating the music of German composer Kurt Weill who brought us an array of musical compositions from “Threepeny Opera” to “Lost In The Stars” and the seldom sung “Mahagonny Songspeil,” featuring new exciting musical arrangements by two-time Jeff Award-winner Maestro Jeremy Ramey!

Up next, we turn to the adored country western singer Patsy Cline presenting Ted Swindley’s “Always…Patsy Cline,” staring Christina Hall and Danni Smith from our acclaimed “Pump Boys and Dinettes” cast! This book musical about the life and times of Patsy Cline as told through the eyes of her number one fan, features hit songs “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams” and many more!

For our spring musical, we courageously re-visit the classic rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, “Jesus Christ Superstar” bringing an unplugged acoustic sound to this intimate up-close and personal story.

We finish out our 2014-2015 Season with the latest in our original Summer Songbook Series! “A Marvin Hamlisch Songbook” will celebrate the man who changed the face of the contemporary Broadway musical.  Featuring  exquisite music arrangements by Aaron Benham, we present songs from “A Chorus Line,”  “They’re Playing Our Song,”  “Sweet Smell of Success” as well as such hits: “The Way We Were,” “Nobody Does It Better” and “The Sting”!

As we challenge ourselves by bringing quality professional musical productions to our community, we invite you to join us and share with us this ambitious 2014-2015 Season! (LINK 2014-2015 Season to
