Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre will close the 2016-2017 season with our popular Summer Songbook Series by revisiting our 2009 critically acclaimed production, Jacques Brel’s Lonesome Losers of the Night.

Conceived by Arnold Johnston and Fred Anzevino with translations by Arnold Johnston and music arrangements by Joshua Stephen Kartes, “Jacques Brel’s Lonesome Losers of the Night” follows the trials of two soldiers in an Amsterdam waterfront bar. We witness how relationships bloom and wilt through the musical lyricism of Belgium songwriter/poet Jacques Brel in an original musical revue of love, loss, and hope.

Featuring: Randolph Johnson, David Moreland, Jill Sesso, and Neil Stratman

“…anthems of departure and betrayal, boozy tributes to Brel’s total grasp of dead ends… is an inebriating inventory of unreconciled romance… you’re bound to find your own losses among Brel’s deepest sympathy for life’s underdogs”
